The Iphone 6S - Thomas

Apple is planning to earn 9 million dollars on the releasing day of the IPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, analysts predict sales from 7 million to 15 million dollars for the opening weekend. The IPhone 5S and 5C in comparison made 9 million dollars in the opening weekend, which was in September. Walter Piecyk of BTIG predicts that apple will sell more than 10 Million IPhones and he says "We suspect that first weekend sales have more to do with Apple’s ability to ramp manufacturing than it does the end market demand" which means that the more apple produces the more money they will make because people will buy almost all iPhone 6. Since apple customers have such a high request of their new product the developing countries, where the iPhone is build, earn more money because they are mass producing the new product which is then also directly sold. The worker and the factory earn more money and also the government therefore the country can invest more money in developing the countries infrastructure. The workers can afford to pay for school for their children and in future they are able to get a skilled job which will help the country even more. The new iPhone 6 has a lot to do with globalization and change. Apple has released two new phones which attract and targets even more people, Apple usually just come out with one new product but this time they changed it and this is why they made such a huge profit in 24 h. Not everything is good about the new iPhone because the iPhone is made in poorer countries where the workers or employees are paid a really low budget snd have to work in cruel conditions, i know i said that the workers earn more money now but this only counts when a new product is released because there is s higher public demand. Is it ethically right to let the workers work in horrible conditions? On one side it is but on the other side it is not because how else would these people earn money for their families.
There is a high competition between apple and samsung because both companies have developed a new product and are also selling it on the same day. Apple's new phone is one of the most developed on the market which also rises a competition in technology. Apple has innovated a new product which they have worked on for years, they have increased the size of the display and also made it 55% faster and more efficient than the current iPhone 5S. They are offering 2 phones which have different sizes and they are both targeted to 2 different kind of people; the ones who like it compact and easy and the others who like it big and who like a clear over view. Apple did this to target as many people as possible so they can maximize their income and attract even more people. Apple has changed the display, touch and changed the buttons around to take a risk and try something new and obviously it has worked because they have achieved their income goal in 24 h.

Google's Auto Pilot car

A fully functional prototype of google's  car has been made, google hopes to change the world of driving with this particular and innovative car. There is a 23%  decrease in car comuters in the last years due to cheap and fast alternatives like public transport. The problem with normal cars is that families, teenagers would rather work, talk or look at their smart phone instead of driving and concentrating on the road. Google hope's to eliminate these problems and many more such as car accidents and enabling blind people to drive as well.

The self-driving cars combine all 5main topics; Change, Innovation, Ethics, Globalization and Strategy.

It is a change because in the world since it something new that has never been done before. It is a self-driving car that can change the world of cars and driving, it opens new opportunities such as driving even when you’re drunk or when you are blind. Any body can drive now and can be easily transported from A to B; especially the handicapped people finally have a chance to drive on their own without having to ask people to drive them.

The self-driving car is a innovation since it is a big improvement to many businesses and it is a new generation of an existing product. Less services have to be used now such as Taxis because you can drive even when your blind or under the influence.
The self-driving car is very ethically since it helps the general public; it enables handicapped people to finally drive around the city safely and fell contributed to the general public.
The self-driving car is globalization the world of driving; if everyone uses this kind of car there will be less accidents and happier people.  It creates new opportunities to the general public, it develops the world on an international scale because people are now able to work while sitting in a car or even spend time with their children. People can spend more time with their family and on their work, which can create even more options.


The self-driving car is a new strategy to make cars more attractive to the general population, especially to the younger generation because there are 23% less car drivers than in then there used to be. This is invention is combining the iPhone and car into one object which attracts most young adults.
Many leading car companies such as Mercedes are investing in this new technology in the hope of reducing car accidents and injuries. Mercedes invented a lorry with auto pilot, this will change the life og truck druvers for ever and reduce accidents caused by a lack of concentration.

The ambulance drone is a new innovative way to supply injured people with a first aid kit before the ambulance arrives.
An ambulance takes an average of 10 minutes to arrive at the emergency place, mainly because of traffic. 10 minutes is a lot of time especially when you consider that seconds could make a difference between life and death. The Drone, which flies automatically, makes it possible to treat the injured person and possibly extend the time the injured person has.
German people have already uses drones to supply injured people with defibrillators before the ambulance and professional people arrive, this changing innovation can give people the chance to survive the worst injuries.
The ambulance drone is supplied with a first aid kit, defibrillators, and vocal instructions from professionals on how to use the equipment, a camera for professionals to see if the work is done correctly and a special kit for women in labor.
The inventor Alex Monton believes the drone could potentially boost the survival chance to a maximum of 80%.
From this we can see how far technology has developed in the past years, this helicopter is especially important when it comes to accidents in the mountains where the ambulance needs even more time to arrive. This could change the world since more people are able to survive harsh accidents.
Having a professional monitor the actions of a civilian and directing him or her to perform task such as placing the victim in the recovery position and preparing the defibrillator can increase the chance of the victim of surviving.

A study (Texas A&M University's Transportation Institute) has shown that the average time spend in traffic is 38 hours per year. These 38 hours of standing still in traffic also ejects noise and air pollution. The new innovative adaptive signal system is able to reduce 5 seconds per car, which seems not much at all but in total is reduces 1,100 driving hours a day (406,000 a year), roughly one million gallons of fuel and 5,000 tones of greenhouse gasses.
This innovative project costs about 13 million us dollars and it covers only 40 square miles and the project supplies 120 new traffic lights that have cameras attached to them so they can fed the computer with information so it can figure out the best and fastest way to commute the people across the city.

This project is being tested and when successful it might globalize the world. Other cities such a Britain who also have extreme traffic problems are looking forward to adapt the same innovative software. This project may even globalize the world and reduce the co2 emission and therefore reduce damage done to the environment. Time can be save, which means people can work longer and do not come late as often.

This program is innovative since it changes the world of driving and improves the daily lives of the population. Besides all the environmental improvements the program also helps to improve the way we look at new inventions, the program has showed the public that we should invest more into innovative things than rather stick with the old and inefficient things.

13 million seems a lot of money but I think this is a good investment and when people save 1,100 hours a day, I think they can work longer and there accomplish more.

The Lamborghini Lp700-4 is unique in his market because you will never find a car that will look alike. Lamborghinis made sure that their cars do not look similar to other cars. They made exclusive so when people see the car on the seet they will know it can only be a Lamborghini. Most cars now a day look very similar and this is where Lamborghini performs strong. In the well know movie BATMAN the director chose to present the Lamborghini LP700-4 because they needed something that looks futuristic, unique and expensive and this is what Lamborghini does well[1]. This is due to its comprised carbon fiber engine cover, its adjustable spoiler that changes due to the speed of the car and its superior design with side air inlets that allows the car to reach the top speed of 350km/h[2]. Most cars have changed its engine to a V8 because it is a lot cheaper but Lamborghini has been truthful to the V12 engine, which makes Lamborghini one of the last cars with a V12 engine. Lamborghini chose to have a V12 engine because it makes a superior sound, which is typical for Lamborghini and it also allows the car to accelerate faster. The A-7 speed ISR gear box help the Aventador to reach 100km/h in only 2.9 seconds[3], all of this adds to the unique and astonishing experience of driving a one only Lamborghini. Pricing Strategy

The RRP (Recommended Retail Price) for a new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 should be between 357,398.14 and just over $394,031.45 ($400,000 $441,000[5]). The pricing strategy used by Lamborghini for the Aventador is Skimming because when they bring out new product, customers know they will only produce a limited number of cars and therefore they buy the car as soon as it comes out. Lamborghini uses this to it advantage and sets an initial high price and when customer stop buying their product they slowly reduce the price. Only 5,000 Aventadors were produced and the first Aventador ever sold was sold for $500,000 compared to $441,000 today.
Like many other car companies Lamborghini also uses the Optional pricing strategy that allows customers to choose editions and extras along with their car. For example there are two special limited editions of the Aventador (Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli edition, Aventador LP 720-4 50’ Anniversario) and there are 2 normal editions (Aventador and Aventador Roadster). The customer is allowed to choose different accessories and between different packages such as the sport package. This is where everyone can create his or her own personal and unique Lamborghini.

Place

Lamborghini sells it cars through a no intermediary channel so they can maximize their profit and remind their customer that this product is unique and you are not able to buy it everywhere. Lamborghini is also in complete control of the product, there are no price changes or design changes since it has no intermediaries, and this shows customers again that Lamborghini stays truthful to its product and in not influenced by anyone else.
Customer have to drive to the factory in order to buy a car and talk with the employees in direct contact which gives a sort of personal touch and it feels more like buying a car from a friends. Having no intermediaries is useful for future market research, which help the company to grow and to improve their cars.
Lamborghini has chosen this distribution channel because they want to keep it personal and special which lets the car standout.

Promotion

Lamborghini does not advertise a lot because they do not want their advertisements to attract the customers, the customers must be attracted to the products. Lamborghini only want customer who have known Lamborghini for a long time and trust and love the car and they do not want customers who do not respect their product. Lamborghini treat their cars as a family member and only want to give it to those who share the same feelings. This makes Lamborghini unique and superior compared to all the other super cars.
Every time Lamborghini brings out a new product they make a breath taking advertisement to remind people what Lamborghini does. When the Lamborghini Aventador came out in 2012 they released 3 videos that I had to watch a million times because it was just so astonishing.
Of course Lamborghini advertises in magazines and in car shows but not as often as other car companies does. When they present their car at a car show they either stand on a podium or they have a lot more space then the other cars to show how special it is. Lamborghini is advertised in car magazines and upper class magazines such as CQ.

The question that many people ask is why buy a super car that you cannot not even use to its full potential and what is the motivation for buying such an expensive and big car. People who ask this question are those who have never driven such a sport car before, the feeling of adrenalin and fear while being amazed with fun is enough to persuade almost everyone to buy such a car. People who buy such a car are rich risk takers that have respect for mechanics and technology.

The engines vibrate in the back and roars at everybody you pass with an unforgettable sound. The amount of attention and respect you gain from the general public for driving this particular car is amazing and unforgettable.  From the start up button to the automatic spoiler everything is perfect and done with outstanding quality. Before I will start to write this Blog I want to thank all the kind people at DHL, especially to our tour guy who organized such a nice day for us and always asked us if we were alright. 

DHL is a PLC (public limited company) and currently the market leader in the logistics industry - "The logistics company for the world." DHL was founded in the year 1993 in Saint Francisco by Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn. DHL serves more than 220 countries due to the superior and unique transportation systems that is achieved by years of globalization and innovation. Transportation very important for DHL since they would not be able to serve as many countries and Territories. 
DHL transports up to 1,900 tons of deliveries each day with their uncountable trucks und with their 63 planes that fly the express delivery everyday. You can imagine that this will take up an awful lot of energy and fuel which both creates pollution around the world but with DHL "Go Green" Mission they are able to ensure reduced emissions and pollution. DHL owns up to 1000 square meters of solar energy which are installed on the roof of the hangar to ensure maximum sun light expressed to the solar panels. Just the solar panels produce 100,000 kilowatt of solar energy a year and this reduces 3,000 tons of emission a year. Since DHL consists of 2 million square meters they are easily able to collect up to 3,000 rain water per year, which will be used for service such as cleaning. 
DHL is superior at motivating their workers, DHL has an own football team where all employees of the company may take part in. Professional football trainers are hired to ensure top results for the football team, football player may also take part in competitions which are all around the world (this year in Belgium!). If employees do not like to take part in the football team they are encouraged to take part in the cheerleading club which will support the football team on their competitions. DHL outstanding location allows their employees to easily access the company with no problem. Employees are able to access DHL with the S-bahn, bus and with the tram. DHL has organized a price reduction for their workers so they can use public transportation cheaply and therefore also get to work easier and quicker since they do not have to use car or other vehicles. DHL has an own cafeteria that supplies all workers with delicious meals so they do not have to waste their lunch time searching for restaurants. Motivating speeches are spread across the walls in the office to remind the workers why they work here and for what. All offices in DHL are big and open so the workers can talk to their neighbors while doing their work, they can also take a small break and visit their friends since offices are not separated far from each other. DHL is so flexible that even some employees are allowed to choose their own working times as long as they finish their daily work and requirements. This motivates their workers because they can sleep longer and spontaneously come to work, it also builds up trust between the employees and the company which is very important for success. Employees have the choice to work and visit different countries since DHL is located in several different countries, the requirements are that the workers have to organize the trip on their own which can be difficult. 
Since DHL is such a big company with 315,000 workers it is very difficult to motivate every single worker but the workers motivate each other by treating everyone as a friend, this is very rare nowadays and this is why DHL is such a unique and successful company. My tour-guide told me that the workers are like a small family that help and look out for each other, this is very important in huge companies with a lot of stress. 
There are seasonal gifts for every employee from sponsors such as football shirts or chocolate at Christmas or easter, this keeps the workers interested and eager to come everyday to see what there will be today. At special occasions DHL rents amusement parks to celebrate with their employees and thank them for their hard work and dedication. DHL is open for improvements, there are mail boxes where workers can write improvement ideas to DHL so DHL is able to improve the working environment for everyone. 
Security is very important at DHL since it is also an airport, there are safety instructions on every machine and in every hall. We had to wear special shoes and jackets and we had to go through regular security checks at the airport. 
DHL is in cooperation with Deutsche Post, this is why DHL has changed it color from white to yellow, which is the color of the Deutsche Post. The cooperation allows both companies to deliver easier and faster which is better for both customers and workers. DHL and The Deutsche Post have agreement that all the flyers (letters and small packages) will be delivered by the Deutsche Post while DHL takes care of the other packages such as express packages and big heavy packages that cannot be delivered by the Deutsche Post. 
DHL has provided a quiet room which is accessible to all workers, this room allows people to eat, sleep or study. The room is supplied with sound reducing material which is very important since DHL is such a big and loud company, this room reduces the stress of the daily workers. 
All workers at DHL speak in the same way with each other, employees do not have to talk in a polite and respectful way to their bosses which eliminates the though of the boss being better than everyone else, it
shows equality which will motivate the workers. 

I think DHL is very good organized and structured company with nice and understanding people running it, it was very hard for me to even find an ethical problem because DHL is such an ethical company. I enjoyed my both days there and I am looking forward to visit the company again.
